Does anyone remember playing Dos games as a child? XD

I had the most amazing return to childhood tonight, when I download a Dos emulator and the full version of one of my favourite games as a child, Sky Roads, and Jazz Jackrabbit. Actually, the games aren't that bad. I can't imagine how me and my friends managed to spend hours a weekend on skyroads though, when my friends had playstations and nintentos and gameboys and things like that to play with.

I didn't have any gaming platforms until I was 10 except for the pc, and most of the games I had were educational. I liked educational games. I learned arithmatic from Googol (no, not googLE GoogOL) when I was 4. I also really like 'where in the world is carmen sandiego?' and other games of the same series. And a game called mastermind which invovled algebra and various other puzzles.

Looking back, I can see that my parents were subverting me. They were trying to make me clever. Educated. Elite.

They failed.

Oh. Yeah. If you're looking for the ultimate addictive game, go search for Chips Challenge. It's completely free, runs on XP and Vista and whatever came before them, and is the most addictive game ever once you get past the first few, very simple, levels. It's like, only 203 kb to download as well. It's sort of like a puzzle game.
